Albert Bartlett’s Steam Header

About the project

At the end of 2024, JS Engineering Services successfully delivered their first pressure vessel project for long-term client Albert Bartlett’s. The project involved the design support, fabrication and installation of a new replacement steam header, forming a critical part of the site’s steam system.

Working alongside designer Bernie Robinson of IGNIS TES, JS Engineering fabricated a CAT 3 pressure vessel designed in accordance with PD5500 standards. The vessel was manufactured off-site using approved procedures before being transported and installed on site with the assistance of Abbey’s Transport.

The project required careful coordination between design, fabrication, logistics and installation teams to ensure compliance, safety and minimal disruption on site. This installation showcases JS Engineering’s capability to deliver complex, regulated steam and pressure systems from concept through to completion.
